As reported by Compostela health management in a statement, IDIS will coordinate for three years the “main platform” of the European Atlantic region to “innovate in the diagnosis and treatment of high-impact neurological diseases, primarily Alzheimer’s disease and stroke ”
Researchers from the United Kingdom, France, Portugal and Spain participate in this first ‘Interreg Atlantic’ project and it is coordinated by researchers from the SERGAS of the USC integrated in IDIS.
With the ‘neuroALANTIC’ initiative, the aim is to contribute “to mitigating the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s disease and stroke“, in addition to seeking to “exchange experiences and protocols for clinical and preclinical research” together with companies in the health and biotechnology sector.
