The project is focused on setting up a translational platform to develop novel theragnostics agents to treat and early diagnosis of these devastating and prevalent diseases. NEUROATLANTIC will work on the standardization of clinical protocols, preclinical and clinical innovations and capitalization.
The neuroATLANTIC consortium, led by FIDIS (Fundación Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Santiago de Compostela), includes eight other partners such as the Center for Cooperative Research in Biomaterials CICbiomaGUNE, the University of Coimbra, Galicia Health Cluster (Cluster Saúde de Galicia – CSG), Qubiotech Health Intelligence, Lincbiotech, Cork University, Stab Vida and the French Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (INSERM).
The agenda of this kick off meeting was divided into two different parts. For the first part of the meeting there was a general introduction, in which it was provided a general overview of the project and its work packages. As for the second part of the meeting, it was mainly focused on the partners giving a brief presentation about their organizations, and subsequent discussions aiming to define scientific activities during the first 12 months of the project.
Finally, during this event several decisions, such as the followings, were taken: the aim and scope of the project, the definition of the work packages, the date, place and city where the next meeting would be held (October 2019, at the University of Coimbra) and the definition of the roadmap of the project activities for further discussion and definition for the future months.
